These works are specified in contracts by the transport network of the French electricity company (EDF) :

Design:
EDF designs the very high voltage stations. The contrators are responsible for designing the foundation blocks for cable gantries, equipment and transformers

Construction:
This involves the constructing the foundations, assembling cable gantries and equipment, installing cables and constructing monitoring, control and repote control devices.

Maintenance:
This involves replacing supports and accessories that have worn out or been damaged by storms and joining broken cables.
