At a time when economic globalisation, together with international exchanges is continuously growing, air freight is guaranteed a promising future. In this context, the cargo terminal, which enables the change from land to air transport to take place, has established itself as a vital link in the chain of the transport of merchandise.

The design and organisation of cargo terminals these days must take into account the ever-increasing volume of air cargo and its safety, whilst incorporating new techniques from the world of mechanisation, electronics, computer science and installation of complex global logistics.
