The security of a nation’s power supply depends on the diversity of the the primary energy sources used to generate electricity.
Today electricity is generated at power stations that use either nuclear energy, energy from fossil fuels (coal, gas or fuel oil), or renewable energies (hydro-electric, wind, etc.).
