Construction techniques:
- Fondations on barrettes - Reinforced concrete shaft built in successive stages. Prestressed concrete tank cast on scaffolding on the ground. Tank attached to the shaft by face nailling using prestressing cables.

Interest and originality at the time of construction:
- 40 metre diameter tank on a 6.00 metre diameter shaft.
- The 1600 tonnes tank was cast on the ground the raised by jacks 40 metres to the top of the shaft
