For an arriving passenger, the terminal is their first contact with a country or region. It is a symbolic building, the architecture of which must embody a strong, attractive and identifying image, whilst at the same time blending harmoniously into its environment.

The terminal, which can be one or more terminals, is an essential part of the airport. It is the infrastructure by which passengers and their baggage pass from ground travel to air travel and vice versa. In fact they have to undergo a certain number of formalities before embarking or disembarking from the aircraft.
